Ch. 6 It's difficult to put my feelings into words here but I'll try. Harry has fought to protect himself and those around him all during his time in Hogwarts. It's definitely part of who he is. But it's not about the fighting per se; it's about taking care of those around him. I remember a statement I read once although I forget where: "Do not fight to kill your enemies. Fight to protect your friends."
So I suppose that means sometimes you don't struggle. That may have been what was going through Harry's mind when he relinquished his wand. Draco finds that unacceptable but doesn't allow Harry to think so. If Harry had fought, would he have killed both men before they killed Draco? Perhaps, but perhaps not. He's fought against greater odds but he was dealing with two psychopaths who knew the ground and had Draco tightly restrained. Things might have turned out very badly indeed.
But Draco has a point and it might be too late for Harry to change his nature. Not fighting sometimes isn't a viable option.
The lovemaking was extraordinarily tender and had a delicacy about it that was almost excruciating to read. Both men were trying so hard to please and be pleased. I could feel Harry's strain to hold himself back and Draco's equal struggle to allow pleasure and to hold back the fear. You do a fantastic job of laying out their emotions and it heightens and complements the sensuality; it's as if we're there, experiencing the scene from both viewpoints. It makes reading this story such a joy. :)

Slash,
You have a real gift for this stuff I tell you. I am administering finals right now and the room is perfectly silent. But I can see some of my students reacting to my reactions. A guy in the front row has the most uncanny expression on his face. HE KNOWS! LOL! God I love you.

OK, that first half was really intense. I didn't know where Draco was going with that. It was heartbreaking...and really just...wow. That's all I have to say. I'm glad they're making love again, although it feels a little soon, but I'm sure his recovery isn't over. Maybe this is just a good beginning. Great chapter.

Ch. 5 Okay, this is more than a little frightening. Considering the mood Draco is in, I don't think Harry should indulge him until he finds out exactly what he intends. Draco isn't on an even keel by a long shot and the news that both of his tormentors are dead isn't necessarily going to make him balanced again.
Harry should have at least waited until Draco was finished with whatever he was doing in the lab. Interrupting him while he's concocting dangerous potions can't be smart. Honestly, Harry is too impulsive for his own good.

Wow, a bit bizarre but understandable behaviour really. Draco is slowly recovering and this is a sure sign of it but what bumps in the road lie ahead?
