two chapters behind and catching up ::panting:: what the hell is going on with Harry's shadow..OK, now that would be some really freaky shit if his own shadow attacks them. Can't wait to see what all of that was about. I agree with Draco, anytime you hear bad stuff about you from your closest friends and it doesn't really faze you, then that's pretty sad. I can see Ron and Hermione saying some of those things..but it doesn't seem like Hermione would say that stuff about helping him out. I hope not anyway. So Draco was obsessed with Harry...that's kinda cute, I wonder how long that went on. Their little tender moments are really intimate and feel real. I'm rooting for a happy ending even though you kinda already answered my question in the negative...I still have hope.

OK, I change my previous comments..the flesh eating dog things are by far the worst yet. I had to walk away from my computer several times during that..thanks! lol. Richard is a first class asshole and I hope we will see some sort of torture or at least justice delivered to him. Draco is indeed a soldier and I can't believe he's not totally nutters by now. I hope Harry can keep his promise too, but it sounds like his plan may not allow for that? man, I'm gonna have nightmares tonight...love it : )

How do you do it? You pump out chapters insanely fast.
Only two more pensives to go. I can't wait to see what kinds of memories will unravel.
I wonder what the Unspeakables needed Draco's voice for. Did they think that by using Draco's voice they could falsely give themselves the primision they needed to make Draco the 'willing' sacrifice? Is that what went wrong?
And another thing, When Harry and Draco finaly get to the center of the maze, What will happen? The maze has obviouly gone horrible wrong, so they won't become immortal when they reach the center, and if that is the case what will become of them instead?

I really enjoyed this chapter too...but the spiders, ugh, good but I was cringing. Sob. I want a a happy ending (a happyish ending, maybe?) I don't want Harry to implement is plan that will not allow him to leave with draco! XD But keep writing!

Ch. 20 Draco may have suffered from censorship from his father. But as a Slytherin Prince, he's learned to let no one and nothing stand in his way. He's never suffered real blows to his self esteem so hasn't learned to deal with them. Harry's "sad life" as he calls it has inured the Gryffindor to such things and, conversely, made him stronger for it. Suffering from the Dursleys, fighting off Voldemort and his henchmen, dealing with the unwanted press, struggling through his studies and the tongue lashings of Snape (!) and learning to deal with his own temper have toughened Harry without dampening his spirit. That comes through beautifully here.

The whole concept of the Maze continues to be a triumph of suspense, surprise and insight. What a masterly effort.

I'm sure that Harry's last thoughts will come back to hunt him.

I can't believe how quickly you can write and dish out chapters. It is astonishing to say the least. I can't wait for another chapter. I only hope Ron and Herm. are still alive.

Please continue!

You know, I often find it highly amusing that Harry tried to force the spotlight away, but it always found him anyway in canon. I adore how you have integreated some of the past into this, Draco's life shaped around HArry in some way and his reactions to him. Lucius and Narcissa's moment was interesting, and I'm so very curious what the hell is following Harry's shadow or hiding in Harry's shadow. I'm also damn curious about Draco's reaction to Harry waking. He knows that Harry is struggling with his sexuality, so why is he trying to continue intiating intimacy? Is it ujust his need to be accepted by someone? I am really interested to see if this is going to have a happy/hopeful ending. I noticed a bit of Harry's conflicting ideas about Draco this chapter. At first, he was torn between knowing that Draco could never redeem himself, to saying he isn't evil, even if he didn't like what Draco had done in the past. So was it him saying something to make Draco feel better, or was it a matter of showing how people's minds can quickly change based on circumstance alone?
