Wow, I love how Snape just took control like that - 'look left, look right, look at me'. Something wildly sexy about that, for some reason. But now Voldemort's on the scene it could all get a little bit hairy. Funny how Hermione's first thought is that Snape just wants the Defence classes for himself - but it was so sweet that she thought about him when conjuring up her Patronus. Awwww.

Hmmm...Intense and interesting. For some reason this chapter seemed to really switch gears from the previous. The issues addressed at the end of 16 weren't addressed here, which is fine really; it just adds to the suspense of what is going on. I like the sense of mystery; I have a guess as to who was whispering in H's ear but I'm not going to say anything. I am eager to find out if my theories are correct. I really like this story and am surprised you're not getting more reviews. Rest assured we are enjoying your efforts.
