Lol I love how even with all his conscience pricking and all that, Snape still manages to fit in one last little selfish thought. This is why everyone adores you, Figgy. It's because you keep him real.
Also, yeah, it's great that your stories just take you along for a ride as much as you do your readers. Keeps things interesting.
Ahhh, I really did like this chapter so much- it wrung at the heart strings just enough.

Sometimes I forget Severus is a man like anyone else... and for that reason he does stupid things... first he doesn't want her... now he does... I reaaaaally hope hermione doesn't want him back... for a little time... eventually they will get together (I HOPE XD)... but.. he really has it coming... I hope he sees that he hurt her...and that if he lose her is his fault ... but.. he is severus.. and a man... really strange creatures XD XD XD XD

MND: Yes, Bastard!Snape is back in full force. But I don't think he said what he did to hurt her, he was just being "practical." That's what all men think they are being when they do something very stupid. Yet, he was being honest and that was how he felt at the time. "At the time" being the key word. I think he's going to find out that he can't control everything, and his words will come back to bite him in the butt. I have to admit, I missed Bastard!Snape. I'm glad to see him back, for a little while at least. He was Gentleman!Snape in "A New Beginning." So I needed to see this incarnation of Snape again. You know, I always think about how although I find him yummy like this in fantasy, I know good and damn well I wouldn't find this aspect of him the least bit sexy in real life. I guess that's why it's fantasy eh? Thanks for commenting.

Three cheers for Hall Duty. God, I never thought I'd say that. I hate hall duty in real life. But it would be so much more fun if I could do it with Snape!
