Hmmm...I'm not sure what you can do. You could always create a scenario in which Hermione has to defend him and that surprises him...I think based on their history together that you've already written, that they don't have to have some fantastic emotional connection in order to either have sex or to move "them" forward. Maybe she does "snap", as he warned her...or maybe taunted her...at the end of the last chapter. Maybe in dealing with all the stress/drama/whatever, she just has to seek out that physical release and finds it in him since its familiar and satisfying. Those are my thoughts right now... Don't give up! You have such a neat start here, and it's very different from "Tease" which I also love!
