Very good story. I just finished reading all of Shooting Star and enjoyed it tremendously. Looking forward to your next update.

Ch. 9 Draco really IS the more knowledgeable of the two. I haven't read all the JKR books so I don't know where Harry stands in terms of knowledge. But he did always come off as being more physically inclined than cerebral. I guess intelligence isn't always something that's needed in heroes, although it's a bit disappointing to find authors treating Harry like he's witless stump.

His desire for friendship is genuine, though, and you can see where it comes from. He's used to having friends as a kind of support group around him. Draco may be a tender lover but that's not quite the same and the bond means that he'll usually take the role of the aggressor (although this chapter shows Harry being more forceful). Harry wants a bit more equality in his relationships even if he doesn't say so; having friends will supply that lack. Since he's not necessarily the thinking type, he hasn't said this to Draco so the blond doesn't understand.

Draco is probably right about Mark's true intentions though and Harry is being naive if he thinks otherwise. Well, I'm sure Mark will make his feelings clear. He doesn't strike me as being the patient type.
