Woah... I just read your second author's note, and I feel so bad for you. My father fot cancer too, three times in fact, but it wasn't dangerous in any way and he made it through. I really hope you are doing better, and that your family is well.

This has bothered me for several chapters. In seventh year students take NEWTS. OWLs were taken in the fifth year. This is a good story but simple mistakes with major cannon elements should not occur in a well written story.

Oh my... I can say I share half of your experience. My own father was diagnosed with cancer some years back, yet his tumours reappeared 3 times. However, he survived with only some light damage to his left eye and a little stuffiness in his brain, but apart from that he is fine now. Oh, I feel so bad for you because I know how horrible it is when you hear that a relative has cancer, but that the fact that your father passed away makes things worse. All those weeks you don't know what will happen, because anything can happen, and ow... Well, take your time with the story and do things the way you do it. Don't think about us and don't feel bad about neglecting the story for as long as you feel it, though my personal advice is to keep yourself busy and be open to friends and family. That's something I try everytime we have a tragedy in my family: e.g. my dad, when my brother seperated from his ex-girlfriend (and looked as if he was ready to commit suicide which freaked me out), 3 grandparents over the age of 80 who could die any day now. Yeap, bad things happen but the rain never pours forever, from time to time the sun shines through. Those are the things I rather think about than the rain.

I really like Neville as a main character. I always want to read it in Dramione fic. Though each chapter is a bit too short for my liking but it's entertaining so far and I like it. Keeping this up!!

I am very sorry about your father :( going through the same situation with my granddad at the moment. Please know that your story is awesome and that someday, maybe, you'll find some much appreciated distance from reality in returning to this story. I really wish you all the very best and will come back looking for any updates on your part regularly.

Please accept my sympathies on the death of your father. As for the story, we can certainly wait until you feel ready to write again.
