((Ch.22)) Well, that's certainly a quick way to becoming dismembered . . . Lucius wanting to clap voldemort on the back I mean. Strange that Lucius would feel happy for Voldemort, since he's always striked me as being the more two faced sort and the only reason he hangs about is his fear of Voldemort outweighs any other fear. really liked the line where voldemort said acidly, "I do not require protection." Brilliant snapshot of his ego and persona.

Umbridge is such a terrible woman, eck. >< but you know, every time I read a description of what she's wearing I can't help but laugh ^^. really hope she's not going to be involved with anything sexual later on, THOSE sorts of images are bound to drive one to madness, or at least to the toilet if you get my meaning (( as in vomiting profusely))O-o .

Lol, suprising that selwyn did not tell voldemort about his aunt, considering that were Voldemort to learn of his failure, the reciprocation would be immensly unpleasnt. voldemort is no fool after all, his more than exceptional mind would connect the dots in no time at all I'd assume... *scratches chin thoughtfully* wonder if Selwyn gets punished later on.... If not, colour me sllightly disappointed, since he really deserves it just for being negligent and all...

That's disgusting. Unsanitary too, Scrimgeour's body hanging around where they're going to be eating, but I suppose hygiene isn't really one of their main priorities >D lol . . but still . . . downright nasty isn't it?
I'm slightly horrified at the thought of what they're probably going to do with the body o-o XD. . LOL.

((triumph 4&5)) I pity Narcissa, she seems to be the only sane one admist a sea of lunatics. A very insightful line you write there, about the war that was waged really not concerning the purity of blood. It's more like Voldemort is batteling his own personal demons, and selfishly at that. As he is self absorbed using his little subjects like pawns to move for him, murder for him, and die for him - all the while denying he is not pure blood either, he is of the same make as those he despises so greatly, so in a way; it's like he's destroying his own kind. Awful sort of hypocrisy.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you like it Lilith. If you really need more of this fic, I could tell you when I add more to each chapter. I am adding several more scenes, extending scenes and fixing the content and grammar, and overall writing of every single chapter. But that last update is definitely where "The Midsummer Coup" ends.

I have other stories on here, you know and most of them star Voldemort, and he is evil in all of them.

Great ending - I really like the last line. Bellatrix is too mad even for Voldemort - that seems appropriate somehow!

Excellent story, PP - characters and situations were kept consistent to the end and you have a fantastic flair for detail and for creating an atmosphere (usually of doom, lol). I wonder if anyone actually enjoyed the party!?

Oh wow, what a coincidence (about the flooding). OK, I'm just a bleeding heart, I guess, but I feel sorry for Draco in this chapter. His head must be all over the place! Bellatrix is so bizarre she makes me laugh - will she ever get her night with the Dark Lord, I wonder?
