I really like this story. The intricate strategies are well thoughtout. You asked for story ideas, I have one with a couple of options. I hope your muse returns to complete this interesting story.

Story idea: As a reward for Draco, he is allowed to take Hermoine to his "Manor" which was mentioned in a previous chapter. Draco begins again to build a relationship with Hermione -- possibly "turning" her to the Dark through his possession of her. Letting her research and ingenuity be used for the Dark Lord, almost as good as spying.

Option #1: An owl will deliver a message to the Burrow that Hermione has been "rescued" and is safe. From there, reactions from Harry, Ron and Remus as they try to find her new location.

Options #2: Draco returns to the Burrow and informs Harry, Ron and Remus that he had to "relocate" Hermione to a Secret location because he had overheard a plot to recapture her. Of course, he could not allow Hermione to fall into Lucius' evil hands again.

Either option has the potention for much angst, as the characters work through the strategies and plots for keeping those you love safe during wartime.

Just some thoughts

Hey I just started reading this story for the first time and was so disappointed when it came to such an abrupt halt! So I sat down and tried to think of some ideas of where the story could go from here. I realise that Draco's return to the Burrow can only end in his death as Harry, Ron and Remus would react on instinct. I think it would be necessary for him to send a message to them, explaining why he took Hermione back to Malfoy Mansion. If that doesn't appeal to you, what about Hermione being given solely to Malfoy as a 'pet' and he can use that opportunity to explain his reasons. There would have to be plenty of angst and anger in that scene.

Somehow, Hermione needs to be protected from the other torturers, Goyle, Crabbe and Malfoy Sr. I don't think the story could work if they continued their abuse whilst Draco stood by. Human nature does not allow for such ultimate betrayal and I think it would break Hermione beyond repair, having already experienced it during her first imprisonment.
I quite like the idea of Pansy being used further in the story. What if Hermione eventually forgave Draco and they played along with the idea of her being his pet whilst in reality they are repairing their relationship. This would allow for a jealous and inquisitive Pansy trying to discover why Draco doesn't seem to be very interested any more. Draco could give Hermione the opportunity to return to the Burrow and explain things to her friends, though she will voluntarily return to Malfoy Manor, despite the anger and frustration of Ron, Harry and Remus. Her reasons for returning would be to protect Draco and give Harry the time he needed to prepare himself for the final confrontation. This would show Hermione's strength of character and her conviction for the cause she is fighting for.

Please don't discontinue! You are a favourite of my authors and you don't disappoint. It would be a great shame to leave the story unfinished. Regardless of the nature of the ending, there's something to be felt from it.

"Writer's block" ? Often when someone is writing a story, it takes on a life of it's own. Rarely does a story end the way the writer wants, but ends in a way that is suited to how the story really plays out. Writing it to end your way probably wouldn't fit anyway. I suggest to just let the words come to you and let the story flow as it should instead of forcing it in a direction that might not be suited to how the plot is unfolding. I would like to see more of this story done, but... it is up to you. Best of luck with plotbunnies!!

wow...i just want to expound on how much i absolutely adore you story!!!....i think your writing style, unique plots and character renditions are brilliant.

i know that the plot might seem hard to contiue...but it would be such a shame for you not to continue because i really, really do love this story!! one of the best i have read.....
