no reason to be sorry for the chapter ;) it was very reasonable and very sweet in the end,
it was a necessary chapter and very nicely written. it's still awkward for me to read it

Awww, no barbs and arrows here. You said it yourself; this is entirely different. That was a very sweet little chapter--with some funny moments, too. It's so cute the way he jumps on her every time he has half a chance.

oooohhhhhh that was hot. the last few lines about needing a bit of soul to make a living thing, and how severus was the first to ever give such a thing to hermione.... that made the entire chapter - severus' puppy-like eagerness and hermione's weary, jaded resignation - one of the hottest pre-lemon setups ive ever read. the sex will be amazing, i know it. just, guh...
