If you hadn't given it away with your confession, I would have thought you had planned it this way from the beginning! Of course, Josiah having a more pleasant personality does not ... must take after one of Hermione's parents, eh. Don't worry, it's perfect this way.

My dear,
I stopped to place the review here though I'm quite anxious to get to chapter 32. I had to commend you on your amazingly skilled efforts at that lemon scene. I know someone was whining about it before. The wait made this one all the more special. You have a good hand at it. Though I rather like the idea of grapes and mud and the like being all over them. Hehe. Unfortunately I'm really rather unhappy to see Molly with a sad Josiah. Couldn't care about twat & arsehole. Keep it up, my dear!

Oh my dearest. I'm not sure I know what to say here. I honestly feel like the story could have survived, and strong, had you not brought that particular plot twist into the works, though I suppose I cannot bemoan you too much for doing so. It isn't a bad plot twist, just overdone, I feel. It's not wrecking your story, I'm still going to read it. And I'm not calling it a cop out (though other's may) it was surprising. The fashion in which Severus revealed the information about that night seemed a bit too coolly done, even for him, however that was my only major issue with this chapter. That and it hardly seemed that ten minutes had passed before Hermione was glowing pink and Severus glowing blue. I feel like this makes it all too convenient to get Ron & Lav out of the picture, which is a good thing, however, I really feel like you are a talented enough writer to not have had to resort to conventions like this. I find myself struggling at current because there is no 'quick fix' wrap to my story without having Blake get run over by a bus or contract cancer, and without having those devices to aide me, it makes me struggle a lot more to resolve the conflict. I would have liked to seen some more struggle. I find that struggle challenges us as writers, though as I've said before, I feel like you've come a very long way with your work and are handling it beautifully.
I'm a little shaky on Josiah's immediately reaction to Ron. Lavender I can understand, but before he met Sil/Sev he was still hugging Ron and being close with Ron. And despite spending time at the villa with Severus, he should not have such a violent response to Ron, despite actually being Severus' son. I could understand that he may have thrashed about and inadvertantly hit Ron, but a blatent attack on his father, or the man that he's cognitively identified as father would seem a bit out of place. But this is just me. Of course I've no room to talk, I've got Caterina all over the place between Blake & Severus, so who knows. Good luck getting your next chapter. What on earth are Rose & Hugo going to say?
Much love,
~CC
P.S. I updated.
