Oh..she's allowed to use ALL the amenities is she? All the tools that could give her body a workout ...;D...lol, a dirty mind is such a terrible thing to waste... anyway, I just wanted to query why Hermione always has to be so....voluptuous in your storys.I have noticed that she is always well-endowed with those womanly curves and large cleavage. I never took Hermione to be curvy in the books( although its hard to guess with the little we are given). She always looked, as you mentioned in this story to be rather slim .Shes also always short in your storys. Whats up with that? It just saddens me a little that most of the ff writers who write excellent SS/HG fics ( such as yourself) tend to give her lots of curves.Perhaps it is the fact that I always thought of her as tall and slim even before I started shipping this pairing and to imagine her otherwise has been a bit strange. Or maybe its because I myself am slim and tall. I guess I just like to identify with my own body type. I know that after all the ffs you have written you are probably not likely to suddenly change a characters body-type but I was just wondering if you did this on pupose to make her more " womanly" or if it was an unconscious decision...

Ryu: That's just how I imagine her. Ginny's the one I see as tall and slender. I wrote Hermione taller in one fic and it was kind of strange for me, I can't remember which but it was a short story. Plus I picture Snape as preferring a woman with some thickness and curves to hold on to. lol. I am writing fantasy here after all. Hermione's also a mom in this story and older, in her late thirties. Many times a woman thickens up after having children. The hips spread, thighs thicken, that kind of thing. I think an author has a tendency to write what they know. Maybe not all but I definitely do. In my family all of us are relatively short. My oldest daughter is 5' 3, I'm 5' 4' and Chi is 5'5. My son is over 6 feet, lean and has a thing for short, thick women. Plus, Hermione being little but having all that courage fits my "dynamite in a small package" preference. The idea of her standing up to Severus just tickles me. I imagine him glowering down at her and Hermione not giving a damn about it as she gives him what for, poking him in the chest or even kicking him in the shin. I even had her knee him once. lol. All in all, I just guess it's me.

That description pretty much comes from the last book. In the afterlife, that's Voldemort's form due to his lack of human emotion, concern and care. My interpretation is in life he did nothing to nurture his spirit, nothing to help it to grow and at his death, was found lacking . . . he had no substance, no inner strength or character. That his spiritual form would be pitiful and weak makes sense to me. Also, he was like this when he was actually alive for a while, before Peter restored him. So there's a precedent for it. Even then, the care of another kept him strong, though it was because he was physically fed. Here, he's being spiritually fed by Rod's compassion.
