Why too much? He's doing the boy a favour and as every Slytherin would affirm, every favour has a prize... If Severus spends his time on the boy, he might as well enjoy himself... ^_^

OOH! Good Rod! Snape is gonna teach him how to use the proper skills to defend himself! I can't wait to see Rod in action the next time that idiot tries to bully him! I am getting rather anxious for Hermione and Severus to have a little alone time.... Soon, please???

I like how the story is going on. But isn't it early for Hermione's patronus to change? Is she already in love with Severus? Isn't it early?
Get some rest! I hope thet you will be better soon!

Question: what did Ron's patronus look like? Did it also pair up with Hermione's or is this different because she and Severus are magically and intellectually closer? And why did Snape conjure his patronus in front of Rod, risking the exposure of his feelings to an unnerving adolescent?

Ele: I'm not sure what Ron's patronus was (I need to fix the spell too. It's Expecto Patronum) As far as Snape showing the Patronus, it is just a spell really. I think he kept it hidden all those years because of Lily. Her Patronus was a doe and it would have been obvious if anyone saw it. It was more personal then. That's no longer an issue.
As far as why Hermione's Patronus changed, I think it is because she has strong feelings for the Professor, stronger than even she suspects. I took it actually from Book 6 where Tonk's Patronus changed to a werewolf because of how she felt about Remus. Remus was unwilling to engage her then but that had no effect on the Patronus.
I don't think Rod actually heard all of the conversation, he was some distance away and the Potions Master spoke softly. Also the Professor knows Rod's figured it out by now, due to lunch...he probably doesn't care. It's not like Rod would blab it to the world anyway, ALTHOUGH he might say something to Rose, who is already suspicious. But I don't think he will. Rod is pretty closed mouthed for the most part. He is a Slytherin after all.
