No Julia, they're not going too fast at all. How can Snape think of a wrapped gift, when the true gift is in his arms? I know you wanted the tension to last longer, but let's be fair . . . the time has come for intimacy and exploration. Love is in the air. Hermione wants him and admits it. If she didn't say something he would have never pressed her. He had backed off waiting for the witch to be ready. Well . . . obviously, she's ready. Plus I can't think of a better Christmas gift. lol.
