I hardly ever review, but I felt like this story deserved it. It is incredibly well written, especially considering the speed with which you update. It is also very, very moving, I can truly feel the sadness behind it, especially in the flashbacks. I think I may see the way you are going with the story and I think it is a good decision.

I too regret JKR's decision to let SS die, but let's face it, after what she'd done with him, from the narrative perspective, i.e. what the book needed to still function, it was inevitable, just like Dumbledore needed to die in book 6. It was her decision, she is the author, just as all of you incredible people who, unlike me, have the drive and creativity to post wonderful stories, can decide to do whatever you wish to your characters. Just as a lot of fanfic after HBP was obstinately labeled "not HBP compatible" from the start, what prevents anyone from disregarding Deathly Hallows altogether? Write your own ending, your own final battle, kill or save whomever you want, just as you did before.

Eleven chapters, twenty seven reviews, and less than four thousand hits = injustice. This story is very good, and definitely the best post-Deathly Hallows fic. Granted there aren't many of them, but i think you've even done better than Ms_Figg, whose fics I ususally adore. Some portions of this actually made me tear up a little, and let me tell you, that never happens. I wonder though, did she ever learn Occlumency? hmm, anticipation. Anywho, kudos on a very real fic.

Please Please end Hermione's dreams and give us some Severus soon. I am anxiously awaiting the reunion between the two lovebirds.

And also [after reading the rest of your reviews] i vote that you go where you want with this story. although i respect the [crazy] dedicated snape fans who were heartbroken, i couldn't really see it ending any other way than him dead. so, if its in your plans to leave him dead, i say that you go with that. dont forget, the story could always be a memorial. and the one person who left after you said the word ghost doesnt kno what shes missing
