First, a tribute and my sincerest thanks to Ruth S., AKA, Ms. Figg, for your prolific work for the Sevmione ship. You created your very own Severus and Hermione and a few other memorable characters. I appreciate your work more than ever since the insidious habit of Dumbledore bashing has pervaded the SS/HG fandom. It's insidious, inaccurate, and grossly unfair. Your portrayal of Dumbledore's personality, motivations, honor, and relationship with Severus is the one I feel most accurate and the one I treasure. I'm grateful your writing was amongst the first in this fandom that I read and I'm grateful it's available for others.
This is regarding Snippet 22 ~ A Surprise in the Upper Corridors
This is my favorite of the snippets. This is a clever example of the naughty (bordering on perverted) pleasure "blackmail for sex" subset of the "hot for teacher" trope. The author not only pulled it off, she transformed it into a believable eventual HEA that doesn't strain the credulity of those who understand both the May/December trope and why it's a no brainer for this particular ship. Both are characters who had a better chance of deciding they were meant to always be single than finding true love. In her case because she refused to accept someone who didn't understand and want her authentic self and in his, because he didn't think it was possible and/or deserved. Also, I'm glad the author edited a few parts of the original version. The original parts weren't disturbing or anything negative, they were bits of Severus' dialogue that now flow better and are less unnecessarily dramatic. The whole one shot just flows so well.
I had read it before, I
All I know is that you
These are just GREAT! I was never a Snape fan til after I read book 7. But now, I know of the smexiness that is Severus!
