I like this chapter, an inside look at what Harry does, and the people it effects...I take it that Dora's gonna end up closing in on him? EM

Ah, introducing a few more familiar faces with some not-so-familiar backgrounds, yet still recognizable. The most extreme now being Remus. An interesting twist on his life-long debilitating condition, trading Lycanthropy for Alcoholism. He's a very sad but inherently good man...so lonely. This story is only gearing up for its run.

I love it. New characters and a more developed plot line. I hope Blaise comes back into the story soon.

damn. this is awesome, im digging this new take on 'the war on crime/drugs.' i heartily agree with the stance your characters have taken on prison and prisoners' rights issues, drugs, and life in general. spinning this real-life crash-burn-and-find-love story into this surgical precision excision of crime from chicago is making this story far more than incredible. i ALMOST cant wait until you finish it, so i can read it beginning to end in one sitting. i cant wait until you post the next chapter!!!!!

Samayel, there are very few writers out there who capture my attention so rabidly and keep me up to, what time is it now? Almost 1am on a Sunday night! I just discovered Big Chigaco and have read the 10 chapters you have posted. I never usually enjoy AU stories but this one manages to keep me enthralled anyway.
I really liked how, in the first few chapters, Drake was almost 'narrating' his own story, I could see it all, everything he'd done and his silliness in messing everything up. I enjoy really enjoy Harry's character; the power hidden just underneath the surface, just how I like Harry.
So i'm looking forward to your next update, come home soon Harry I love you too!!!

Nice story, interesting to read about Chicago.
Still the last chapter seemed strange for me: either its different in the USA than Russia or the author never had a bodyguard. I'm no bodyguard myself but most of my friends have one or several thus i've got 2 points to note:
one - guards do not sit with you at the same table - they wait near the door,
two -if problems are brewing bodyguards never act first but just appear between you and the offender and keep silent. If the offender does not understand the seriousness of the situation guards move forward trying to make offenders step away. If the idiot(s) still do not back down then guard speaks or indicates guns existance. By that time other people present understand kind of problems they could deal with and make the offender leave. No rude words are used by boduguards.
So the scene in the pizza-place seems outstretched to me.
Also the explanation about Ron looks fictional. In the kind of company Harry works at there should be more guards and drivers all under a head of guards. Usually one guard is attached to one person and there is always one guard present at flat (HQ whatever) there is also one driver for 2-3 cars but it depends on the number of people in the family or company that need personal drivers.
And here you have one Ron that acts as personal bodyguard, driver, looks after cars and so on. Multi-functional person indeed. Never heard about drivers-bodyguard getting a flat in the penthouse near the client. Very strange. Would be cheaper to get more people and you can't work 24/7 and keep alert.
Yet its a pleasure to read the story. Prison novels are scare in the RF.
By the way, the sources that spent some time inside prison borders and used (well raped) other prisoners like your Draco, told me that: when a guy is raped in the prison the other prisoners take the shaved off stubble, put it inside a tubule, put the tubule to the anus, and blow. Due to the pieces of stubble inside of him the prisoner for a week or two after such treatment is ready to fuck anything within moving range. Period the procedure is repeated.
Perhaps in the USA this practice is not applied.
Sorry for my English - its onle my third language per se. Keep thye story running. Great idea, you've gor philosophycal mindset, just check the details.

Another brilliant chapter. I hope Harry comes back in the next one so he and Dee can work on their relationship. I keep hoping that Dee's asshole father plays a part in this story - and gets what he deserves.
