phistolemon: lol. He's not being sweet, technically. He can't seem to rent Hermione a flat and is paying a fortune to Rosmerta to keep her at the Three Broomsticks. Paying rental fees is simply putting galleons in someone else's pocket. If he gets a house, he will be paying for something he owns and Hermione can live there relatively hassle-free...if you don't count him that is. lol.

haha, I know, I'm just being stubborn xDD
if he did all this for me, I'd surely be thinking that he's sweet.
unintentionally. lol!

You're slaying me, what with your commentary about how energy bars are more candy than anything else. Of course you're right - ever read the label on one of those jobs? High fructose corn syrup and not much else -

And oh, yes, the story is lovely.

Cheers

Wow, I'd love to know how having or being a mistress is fine, but having a child out of wedlock shows low moral character. I like where this is going, keep it up!

Hi ffpoisongirl: Yes, I know. The acceptance of a woman being a mistress opposed to a single woman having a child is absolutely ludicrious. And I made it that way purposely to show how skewed the thinking is. I might be able to fall back on the bibilical acceptance of concubines, but even the children of concubines were accepted in that system. All I can say is, the wizarding world's sense of morality is extremely skewed in this story. But then again, it makes for a fun read. *** I'm sure I could find some twisted way to "justify" it if I tackled the philosophy behind it, but I think the suspension of reality we all have concerning the story is enough. In every society, there are laws and rules and ingrained belief systems that are screwed up even if not on the books. I've applied that to this story. Thanks for commenting. ***
