nonentity: Yes. I kind of imagine the gods as being like ordinary people with great power. Bored people in a rather gilded cage (Olympus) who have nothing other to do than try to live vicariously through the lives of humans, their own days of glory past. It has to be quite tempting to control others, manipulate them like puppets when there is little else for you but memories of greater times, times when they were worshipped, called upon and treated with reverence. Small-mindedness and very human imperfection coupled with great power is a volatile mix. Thanks for your comment. :)

Hi lala: The singer is Cyndi Lauper and the song is "True Colors" Phil Collins did a remake of it, but I like the original best.
