Great chapter!!!!! I believe you portrayed Draco very well. He just seems as if he's a guy that's been under a lot of strain for a 20/21 year old. It wasn't as if he and Hermione were the best of friends the last time they saw each other. He seems reluctantly grateful for Hermione's help, and distantly polite because of his upbringing and station (though I think that's going to change eventually).

This is pretty interesting, I'd say go about Draco however you like, it's your story lol. Eventually he's got to change enough to spark something off, really they'd both have to. And I think you've done a pretty good job developing them (thinking back history) to get them to where they could start, thinking chapter 2 mostly. I'm going to end on a note which is what I first thought when I finished chapter 2 - "way to go Idaho!" obscure but good job nonetheless. ^_^

Draco's introduction is wonderful! I love the way your plot is original, but the characters still fall completely in line with how JK writes them. Cheers!
