About the formatting I found AFF.net has a section on it. Basically italics and other features use these things <,>,/. Try not to put the backslash (/) behind the i, u or b as it will format the entire thing to be read bold, italics, or underline.
Here's the link to the section in the FAQ that shows you exactly what the code needs to look like to enlarge font and do formatting:

Good start, i'm really interested in reading more. No mistakes to comment on except the two mentioned by the last reviewer. as far as formating HTML if you go to the FAQ it has all kinds of help for writing stories along with tips on HTML. hope you update soon

Hi! I just wanted to point out two spelling mistakes I found; Slytherin is spelled with a y and Mudblood is one word.
