Chapters 1-6: I've just found this story and read it all in one go. I didn't read your previous version so I'm a 'virgin' Defamation of Character' reader, but I have read many a romance and I think your writing is wonderful! You did an excellent job of creating a writing dichotomy between the 'romance novel' story and the real life actions of your characters. I'm impressed!

I like how Snape is believable and not sappy or overly sentimental. I don't think he'd cave in to Hermione's feminine attractions too fast now if he had her in classes for 7 years and never saw her as a desirable female back then. He's reacting to the erotic scribblings that Hermione is nastily enticing him with, but he's not yet sucked into her as a woman. Of course, that makes for more interesting chapters for us all to read so I approve.

Very well done so far. I'm looking forward to more of Snape's wrangling with the little romance novelist witch. I hope they both win in the end, but I'll certainly enjoy their journey - especially if it ends with them as a couple.
