I'm liking the story, but since Remus has high powered senses from his werewolf side...wouldn't he probably know the fact that Hermione has been with Severus? HE.HE... and not just business like.... ;) Just thought I would put that out there, can't wait for next chappie!

And as for what's in the bottle... the only thing I can think of is that it's some kind of Veritaserum. It would be easier to guess what the potion's for if I knew exactly what the occasion is that's calling for it. :)
