I too was not a fan of the way HBP portrays Professor Snape. I would LOVE to see where you take this. If there's a poll, continuing this story definitely has my vote. Lovely as always Ms Figg!

I totally agree with what you have written here; and it's quite bizarre as I have just written a scene in one of my ffs where DD is explaining to Harry that Snape is still a goody. Jo hasn't denied that yet and she's still tight lipped about his loyalties, so I don't think that he is a traitor. Well done.

Liked the chapter, as I hope you will continue this into a story. The part about him being a horcrux I myself have not seen in any story yet. Most stories depicted Snape's relationship with Dumbledore similiarly. I find it very interesting that Hermione would feel the spike in power, but not the boy-who-lived-to-annoy-Snape.

Ms_Figg:
I am intrigued by the premise of Snape as a horcrux. And, Fawkes ... I still wonder where he went after Albus passed on. My own personal opinion is that Albus death was supposed to facilitate the creation of a Horcrux, either for himself or for Severus so that the knowledge they both have would be protected in the war. Of course, Draco caught them both off guard ... I'll just have to wait for the last book. But, I am not ready to write off Severus either. Again, thanks for sharing your talents with us. Pitt
