great story but I don't understand why she has to marry him....who decreed it? obviously, she having money problems. the whole "save your father" is rather beauty/beast themed. and hermione is very lovely, untraditional beauty; draco doesn't need to be so cruel. I hope he falls hard and FAST.

A good first effort. I seem to remember that in the books, Draco's grandfather Malfoy was dead of Dragon Pox, and that his grandfather Black (Narcissa's father) was also dead. Do you plan on giving a backstory to discuss the difference between this story and canon? Other than that, you've done a good job in drawing your characters, and given Hermione a good backstory and reason for her emotions in this chapter. Draco's character is also realistically drawn, and you've set up their juxtaposition well. You have piqued my interest in how this will end up further down the line.
