In Chapter 5 there is a little mistake that I wanted to point out:

He slide into the water /great fully\ and a moment later, Krai joined him. He complained for awhile about /their\ being no salt in the water but said the warmth reminded him of home.

-great fully should be gratefully
-their should be there

I just wanted to point out those mistakes but so far I'm having a great time reading you're story.

I really liked this chapter. I thought it was interesting that you decided to focus on what Harry might have in the family volt. I always thought that Rowling downplayed the Potter legacy - they were purebloods, after all. I especially liked the description of the betrothal necklaces - they sounded beautiful. You should get someone to draw a picture of them.

I also liked that you decided to focus on the wizarding coming of age. I can't wait to find out what powers Harry might come into - hmm, that blood loss thing sounded interesting...

Off to the next chapter,

Hiya!

I decided to look at your account, and was presently surprised by this jem. I think it'll turn out into quite the interesting read. I like the fact that you address something that has been an anomaly for HP fans everywhere: Why didn't Harry ever leave the Dursleys and their abuse behind?

I also like the fact that you make it believable - you didn't have Harry kill them, or curse every single one of them out in a diatribe that was totally unlike him. I'll be reviewing ever two or three chapters until I catch up, but great start!

This is my first review, but considering that I only started reading after you posted chappie 41, I have a lot to make up for. ^_^ You are indeed a skilled writer, let no one tell you differently. I've been an editor for many years, and yes, there are a few things that need work, but they don't take anything away from the actual plot. What I can see tells me that once you get into a flow, you don't stop to think about the trivialities, you let the story weave itself as it will--and I LOVE that in an author. Okay, technical assessment aside, I've always felt that Dumbledor was the nosiest, most manipulative (expletive deleted) in the whole HP universe. Anyone who could have ended Tom Riddle before he even began, and who would let whole families, not to mention countless Muggle and magical people be destroyed just to test a prophecy from someone obviously cracked definitely can't be trusted. And the whole House Points thing? Come on, Harry spends the whole year breaking the rules, nearly getting killed, and doing everything he can to get himself expelled, and he gets a million points for being spectacularly bad at dying when others want him to. Yeah, you're really making him friends with the other Houses, there. Meanwhile, people actually following the rules learn to hate and alternately envy the biggest walking Target in the wizarding world. Gah, frustrating. I enjoy writing Harry as a little bitter about all this...but I completely agree with you. Dumbledor's got to GO.
