Hi there,
Voldemort felled by a tree:). I like that! I realize that Severus delivered the final blow, but it seems fitting that even nature would deplore true evil!
This was a particularly funny chapter!

Best final battle scene... ever. And, I think I've read them all. I usually nod off half-way through. Yours was interesting, had plenty of action, was original - and moreover, didn't bore me to death! Oh, yes, I have died of boredom many times reading the final battle in other fics. This was excellent!

I liked the last two chapters. I can't wait for anymore... is it really going to be final? *sniff!*
I loved this story... It was brilliant.

Chapter 32 pissed me off no end. What Snape did was WRONG, and his and Dumbledore's patronizing attitute towards Hermione was worse. I hope she gets him back GOOD in a future chapter. If someone had done that to me, and then acted like that when they came back, I would have told them not to touch me - and ended the relationship. For Hermione to just accept it would be a)totally demeaning b)totally out of character. Here's to sneaky, nasty revenge.

Couldn't you let Hermione play even a minor role in the battle? No, instead you have her locked away for her own "protection" like a character in a Victorian melodrama. And now I suppose we'll have all sorts of sexual shennanigans as Hermione is "punished" by Snape for her disobedience. Can't you allow Hermione the slightest trace of dignity?

David: The reason Hermione did not participate in the battle is because I saw her as more a liability than anything else, to both Harry and Severus. The rest of the school was locked inside, Hermione is a student so she was too, like Ron. She just received extra "security" because of her brilliance, bull-headedness and rule-breaking tendencies. If I believed she could have added anything more to the story I would have put her in the middle of the battle. Getting her past the castle defenses in a timely manner would have been impossible anyway. There was not enough time. Now...as to what you suppose will happen next... :::smiles and shrugs shoulders::: Maybe your prediction will be right. But I like to think total predictablity isn't a strong point with my stories. Oh, no doubt there will be a closing lemon. It's required. But the way it goes down...hmmmmm. There's the rub.
