Queen: Yes, if I wanted it to be more than a one-shot, she could have gone back in time...but as perverse as I am, I wouldn't have allowed her to save him. If she stopped Voldemort, he would have been hit by the Avada Kedavra curse, if she stopped that, he would have been run through, and so forth...no matter what she had done to prevent his demise, she wouldn't have been able to stop destiny. Would have been an interesting read though, but I doubt I could have sustained that kind of angst for long. I guess I am a perpetual "happy ending" author, I love the couple so much. As a sad story, "The Victor" is a miserable failure. lol.

Actually I could have seen this story take on an entirely different ending, such as Hermione going crazy, going back in time to stop Voldemort casting the curse... etc etc.

But that would just mean a whole lot of writing. :)

I liked it though.
