This was a very interesting Lucius, so enamored of himself and using his son to reflect his own glory to himself. It does have a basis in canon, I suppose, if one extends Lucius' monomania about Pureblood lineage to his own ego.

Wow, that's really sad. I felt so sorry for Draco. ^_^ This was beautifully written.
