I'm not offended at all! Sorry, it's such a touchy subject with you. I myself have had bad experiences with betas, but sometimes you strike gold. I never said your story was bad. Just that it needed to be developed as it felt rushed. Listen, when you write if you don't get constructive criticism, how do you improve? I've had people call me a bitch and all sorts of really nasty things, and never let it stop me. I don't want to discourage, but let you know that your work has wonderful potential. In college, I always took that as a sign that I needed to work harder at what I did. I am the same way in my worklife and tend to view anything in the same light. That's my particular thing...trying to get more out of everything.

As for you being sick, I am glad that writing is a comfort to you. Writing should always mean something to the author. By the way, I would NEVER review a story that I felt was truly terrible. They are not worth my time or effort. As I said previously keep writing.

(I was actually going to offer to beta for you, but I have a feeling our disparate temperaments would be a bad combination.)

Very interesting approach and I'm really enjoying it. As for the beta thing I don't think it matters and here's a vote of confidence from me. I typically don't have a beta either. I hope that the story over rides the form. Update soon, can't wait to see what will happen next!

Ch 1-3 I like this story even though it has OOC tendencies but they seem to flow. Heck, this entire area is OOC. LOL

You put things into perspective for me today...others have tried but today it sunk in. You are absolutely right...this is your story and if you don't want a beta, that is your perogative. If we don't like your writing, don't read. I do believe I will follow that advice and I will never complain or offer a correction again. Thank you.

I fully understand your oppinion! I also don't have a beta (for my german texts), but I do read for a friend of mine - I've told her a thousand times that her language is not that bad, in my opinion she doesn't need one, but she likes it, so I do that for her. The most peoole who cry for a beta are the ones who make many mistakes by themselves (hypocrits in my opinion). So don't care about them and go on with your wonderfull story (and forgive me my mistakes - english is not my mothertongue, but I do my best).
