Ch 26 - I'm glad she didn't blast him. While his anti-Mudblood views were always wrong, he is trying to change now, and it takes a while to undo generations of such teaching. One cannot change a mindset in just a few hours, even with magic. She should give him another couple hours (snerk!). BTW, loved the lines about "you make an excellent sex toy" and "blond bimbo."

I was thinking...if Lucius were really that depressed it would take longer than two weeks or even just a few weeks for him to get out of it. And the way in which you write, it seems like a lot more time has passed. It would make more sense if more time passed - like a few months. My two cents.

To Moxie re depression -
You are correct about the length of time it would normally take for a moderate case of depression to subside. I was faced with either being true to medical science or shortening the amount of time when Lucius and Hermione weren't together. I foreshortened the time element for the depression so Lucius could interact with Hermione sooner. Having Hermione and Lucius go for several months apart, or having Lucius incapacitated for months would have dragged my story line down. So maybe the reader can employ the time-honored fanwank (as I did) and go with the idea that magic folk are different, or that magic medicine is more effective than Muggle medicine. Will that serve?
