this is great so far. i can't wait to see snape's reaction when harry tells him he's not accepting the engagement. technically, snape can't really force him into it can he? harry's an adult now and even if sirius did approve on harry's behalf he's a convicted fugitive so he doesn't really have any legal authority to make him do it either. and as a wizard adult the dursleys are out of the picture too, not that they'd get involved anyway i suppose. what's up with draco though? did snape ask him to be nice to harry to try and win him over or something? and which side is dumbledore on? letting harry slip by like that, it seems like he's rooting for harry, if not to get him out of the engagment altogether then at least to let him make his own choice. good for him if he is, because with remus sirius the weasleys and snape ganging up on him it looks like he could use one solid adult in his corner.
