Hey Cara: No, that wasn't a typo...Severus was the one with the appetite. :)
Firewall: These dementors are from a couple that managed to escape from the Final Battle. The rest were destroyed, so those who were kissed as punishment died with them. The escaped dementors hold souls from England's wizarding world, but the new ones they bred have the souls of Untouchables, which more than likely they have to renew frequently since the bodies of their victims are in most cases allowed to die.
