Thanks for the update - short but sweet. I'm interested to see where this story will progress. You've set it up well, but you're taking a while actually getting into the story itself - it needs some meat (not necessarily the kind typical in most of the stories on this site [draco man-meat lol]...though you certainly won't hear me complaining when it DOES get to that point). I myself am the queen of starting stories that sound really awesome in my head, writing a couple chapters and then a)losing interest or b)flailing helplessly as I try and figure out what I actually want to happen next - that proverbial brick wall. What I'm trying to say is that I sympathize if you're having trouble with it. That said, you probably don't care at all about what I have to say at this point, as expressed in that lovely author's note (though please note that, true to my word, I DID in fact come back to check for a update, if a little late).

Anyways, it's late and I'm rambling. Cute chapter, you write well, and I really would like to read more of it.

As a side note, take a couple minutes before posting to read over your work or run it through a spell checker (or have a friend read it....as I said previously, contructive criticism can be your best friend). There are a couple little mistakes that, though small, can sometimes detract from the quality of the peice. The only thing I remember catching was that "strategy" was spelt incorrectly (you said "stradegy" on a couple different occasions) - it's often worth it just to take the 2 seconds to run through it really quickly and fix up small errors and goofs.

I know this review is far too long already, but I want you to know that I'm not trying to sound condescending. I genuinely like this story, and I want to read more of it. I feel a bit like I'm walking on eggshells when I review though, considering your last response. Don't take any criticism too much to heart - I'm just some faceless person on the internet who has enjoyed reading your work and would like to see more of it, as well as provide any feedback that may or may not help you to improve. Take it for what it is. Throw it out if you don't like it. Don't let yourself get too worked up.

Hope you've had a good holiday season.

Happy 2007!

wow....I'm pretty sure I left a review on here saying something to that degree, but I hadn't intended it to be rude, and I'm sorry if you took it that way. There's nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism, and you should be glad that people care enough to review with there concerns. As you can see, regardless of my apprehension in regards to your plot choices, I came back to check for a new chapter, because this is an interesting story and I've enjoyed reading it so far. I will continue to do so, though I think your reaction to any negative reviews you've received are a little immature. I'm sorry if my opinion offends you, but that's the way it is. I hope you continue with this story, because you seem to have accumulated a number of rather devoted readers who would be disappointed if you don't carry on with this plot. I don't want to sound like I'm dictating or lecturing you, but you can't let a negative review upset you so much - they happen, and will always happen, no matter how good or bad a story is. You can't please everyone.
As for the lack of e-mail address, I apologize for not leaving it, but I'm not at all comfortable making that information public to whoever happens across your story - I get enough spam as it is.
Anyway, I hope you'll take my words to heart

now, i may not be a very good writer (hence why i will never ever actually post my stories on AFF, or anywhere for that matter), but i can tell when a story is worth reading, and when it's a piece of shit. your story, my dear, is the best one i've read in a long time. whoever the son of bitch was that told you how to write your story is on crack. i personally hope that this story will never finish because i love it so much, and i have no doubt that your exemplimary (yeah, i probably spelled that wrong) writing will lead to an excellent fanfic. YOU ARE SOOOO GOOD!!!!! SCREW THE HEATHENS THAT TELL YOU OTHERWISE!!!!!!!!!!! i will eagerly be waiting for your next update. i have this story saved under my favorites =)
