I'm so glad you took on this story. I always liked the idea of it on ff.net and was disappointed that it was incomplete. You've got a great start, I hope you keep updating!

I liked the previous version better -- not amazingly keen on this idea that relationships are pre-determined. In the donotsrock version, Hermione is ignorant of wizarding customs and kisses Snape on the cheek, which has special significance on specific days. It made sense that the things which are the hardest to determine as an outsider are the things "everyone knows" and Hermione would very likely be tripped up by something bizarre because everyone knows she has done all the research and doesn't need to be helped through the social issues.

I like stories where people have to live with the consequences of their own actions (even though I felt sorry for Snape there.)

This is one of those "The Gods say..." stories where the principle characters have no consent. Non-con relationships are squicky.

I also agree with the other reviewer that you should be a lot more explicit that you have permission to redo/finish the story. There is plenty of room at the top for an author's note saying "Rewritten with permission from donotsrock. See the original version on ff.net at ____" It should certainly be part of the story, not just in the summary blurb.

Hmm... you have me very intrigued. I'll be keping my eye out for this one! I just love stories with these two while Hermione is still his student! It's just so naughty!!! Happy writing and hope to see an update soon!
