This is a great fic! I can't wait for the romance between Severus and Aurora. Your doing a great job. I love your style of writing, nice and descriptive. If you have a group of fans you're emailing to when you update, could you add my name to the list? Thanks.
Anxiously awaiting more,

The sexual tension is obviously rising and "Methinks he doth protest too much", to paraphrase Shakespeare. I'm sure she notices it and knows what is going on, though poor Severus has no idea yet. Heck she's egging it on, and probably with Dumbledore's full approval and help. Snape doesn't really stand a chance.
No matter how much he thought he wanted to be the DADA professor, his heart is still in Potions. I wonder how long it will take him to admit that?
I haven't trusted Slughorn since he first appeared in HBP squatting in some one's house while they were away. He's a name dropping, brown nosing ass kisser amd only thinks of his own self interest. DADA teachers are a dime a dozen, but a Potions Master of Severus' quality who will impart his knowledge to the students at Hogwarts is a rare find indeed. I hope Slughorn doesn't totally or terminally foul up the students while he's there.
I enjoyed the reason why he deducted the 5 extra points from Padma and Parvati. Classes and learning weren't supposed to be fun, I had a few teachers who thought that way.
I wonder if the Zauberfloten play anything from Die Zauberflote or anything else by Mozart? Die Zauberflote is one of my favorite opera, it's an opera that's meant for enjoyment, Severus wouldn't like it at all. I see him as more into Wagner, but I understand that because I'm into Wagner's Ring Cycle myself.

I really enjoyed the description of Lilitu and Fawks playing together. Oh, to have the freedom of flight that those two birds have, I'd love it.
Albus is right about the Muggle Studies class, it would look strange on her Death Eater's resume and cause no end of distrust and suspicion of her. Who knows, Jane could even be 'He Who I Find Most Tiresome's spy.

Even though it was a short chapter I enjoyed it. You had the Snape characterization down pat and your were a master of descriptive sarcasm here. Some of the things going on in his head while he was at dinner were really hilarious.

I was wondering if you had any sort of update emailing list, where you could email the people on it when a new chappie came out. If so, I would love if you would include me on said list. I really like this story. I'll be interesting to see where it goes. Thanks.

I just noticed tonight for the first time that AFF.net doesn't list the genre in with the summary of the stories. I've been taking it for granted that this is a romance and that the NC-17 rating means that there will be lemons ahead. So far I've seen no sign of anything heating up between Severus and Aurora, just a lessening of hostility between them. Am I right in thinking this is a romance? If so, when does it begin to heat up?
Aurora has the same frustrations and anxieties that a Muggle teacher has. Since you are a teacher I guess she is mirroring the same problems you face, parents who know the right people to pull strings for them, children who go through school without getting any education because they never learned the basics, and keeping order in the class room. Keeping order these days must take far too much valuable time from teaching; that's totally unfair to the children who have the ability and want to learn and become educated. Filling them all with self esteem only produces arrogant jerks who think they are above the law and that they will never be disciplined or be held accountable for their actions. True self esteem is something a person earns for them selves by what they have accomplished and what they are doing with their lives. Now it's time now to step down from the soapbox.

I read this late last night and I know I wrote a review, I must have clicked on the wrong button and deleted it.
Anyway I'm happy to see her make some progress in her lessons and to see them approach each other with tolerance if nothing else, they couldn't keep up all that hostility much longer.
I agree with Aurora, Slughorn is creepy. He's a name dropping social climber who reeks of pedophilia. I'm very suspicious of his loyaties. Since he's the epitome of Slytherins he's loyal to whichever side will be most advantageous to him, and after the final battle he will claim he was always loyal to the side tht wins.
