She was really prepared for Lucius to be a snake. I think she was just surprised by the lengths he would go to in his quest to rise above his past. She should have told Ginny though. It is ridiculous for her to go through it alone alienating all of her support system. Plus, it is not hers to bear alone when she was not the only person in the compromising position. Hate martyrs. p
