If you think you're going to lose us (or at least me) this way, "tu te mets le doigt dans l'oeil jusqu'au coude" as we say in France (colloquial image meaning "you're kidding yourself" and involving a finger thrust elbow-deep into an eyeball.... yes I know.... yucky!)
