I haven't read your story, honestly. I clicked on the reviews to get an idea of what is was and saw that you were apparently thinking of discontinuing it, so I read your author's note.

It might be a great story, but I generally don't read things that start off the way yours did (improper punctuation, first sentence not capitalized). It just doesn't bode well, and most people don't have time to read every story that is posted here.

This isn't really a critique of your writing. Just letting you know that if you want more people to read, you should probably make sure that everything goes through a beta and is polished before posting, otherwise it might be passed by, despite being a possibly good story.
