Great story!!! I like that it was so dark and angsty. I love the way you kinda left it up in the air that Harry might become the next Dark Lord, too...(evil grin)

...I have been captivated by this story to put it quite simply. I truly have. This story was...breathtaking. I loved it. I loved the straightforward complexity, the shades of grey. I loved the way you portrayed the characters. They were believable, and in a way, they retained their essence even if they were so different, like Harry so far away from his "Golden-Boy" image. And, I agree with Hermione, that deep down he is a hero. After all...in the definition of hero, no mention of "compassionate" or "merciful" is made...and I really just am, /shaken/ by the way you captured the paradox of reality and our own natures, what we're capable of on both ends of the spectrum...not "optimism will see us through." ...And I like the interaction between Draco and Harry. Once again, it's not a kiss and then they're madly in love. They express how they really [could too] feel in a believable, in character kind of way.
I'm tempted for a sequel, but really, this is such a great ending and palce to do so, I'm almost afraid a sequel will shatter the perfection gained by this one. Some things are better left out in the open. And things would be strange if you chose the path of happiness out of the aftermath as well as going evil and leading a small band of cowardly Death Eaters. Then again...I would like to see what became of Harry and of Draco, and how them together evolved... I'm rather ambivalent. But if you do create one, I will certaintly read it. Oh, I would also really really like to have the cut out NC-17 scene. ^____^ All in all, you really did a beautiful job. Awe-inspiring and breath-taking.
