Okay normally I don't sign in, unless I encounter something that compells me to do it,
this story has such a nice blend of...everything! That I felt compelled to do so and
this is a vampire story and I'm not one for vampire stories. But, I had read 2 that
I can say I truly liked...and yours make 3. :-)
What I like the most about it is even though it IS a vampire story, it puts its
emphasise on family & relationships. There isn't a need here to bring gore and you
have gone in a direct direction that most authors don't think about when doing a
vampire story, it touches on humanity.
Something I liked about this story that made me want to review is the heartfelt
moments between Prof. Snape & his son, Harry/Octavian AND the humorous moments that
seem to be coming out from Hermione's end.
The scene where Harry FINALLY accepts Snape as his father and the spell is lifted,
then Severus 'sees' his son for the first time, just like you said, like a father
seeing his newborn for the first time. If I was an emotional person I would have
cried. :-)
THEN, Hermione's need to 'prove that her instincts are right', with her DASH-TO-THE-LIBRARY, not even knowing that Harry KNOWS what she is up to, but is allowing to
let her do it anyway. I mean Hermione trying to be Slytherin and 'stealing' Harry's
flask? He was going to know who it was anyway.
Oh, and of course, the relationship between Harry & Draco is progressing nicely, even
though I kinda miss the way their relationship 'felt' when it was developing in the
beginning, like two young lovers feeling each other out.
Anyway, I will definitely keep this story in my sights for future updates.
