That was definitely not what I had expected. I congratulate you on your originality for THAT one. Keep writing.

Ch 1 - very interesting idea, but why couldn't the Weasleys (being Pureblood) file a petitition for Hermione? Or Dumbledore himself, or McGonagall? Is there a limit as to the number of slaves a Pureblood family can petition for?

Well, you're off to a pretty good start. Even though I'm pretty pissed at all the Non-HBP compatable fanfics, there are some story lines that are worth reading. This might be one of them. I can't decide right now... I'll have to wait for the next chapter. SO HURRY UP AND UPDATE.

Denise, this is a wonderful start to your story. As to finding a reason for the law, it could simply be a matter of muggleborns becoming too powerful, too influential, and the purebloods, feeling threatened (led by Lucius Malfoy if you like, yum), demand something be done to curtail them, pooling their power and connections to force the ministry to pass the enslavement law, maybe threatening to remove the current officals or board members if the law was not passed. You know how politicans practice self-preservation. That should be enough motivation to make the premise believable

I hope Snape ends up with Hermione. Heh Heh. You have him nice and snarky so far. :) Good work. The possiblities for snapey naughtiness are limitless. The paragraphs are spread kind of wide though. I have to scroll over to read the entire sentences. You might want to fix that because it interrupts the reading flow. I'll be following this story. Love the premise.
