A nice start, but I noticed a few things that you might want to watch out for in the future: You never really gave a real reason for the two to be bonded, other than "it would help in the war." I would think that to impose a bond that would last an entire lifetime with the two bing completely unable to be apart more than 3 hours...would be somewhat drastic without a truly firm cause, especialy Dumbledore. For all he knew, he could be ruining their lives...and if he did it purposefully to get them together, it seems rather unsubtle for a master manipulator like him.
The only other problem was the tendency to "tell" rather than "show." A story is always more interesting if you let the readers discover things through time and experiences rather than by having one character sit and explain everything; ie, Dumbledore's explanation about Veela. You might want to avoid that, because it usually gives a story a bit more...heart if you show them what happens instead.
On a good note, since I'm really not trying to flame you, I LOVE your characterizations. I feel sorry for Harry already, and I can't wait to see how his "relationship" with Draco is going to go. Snape and Narcissa also felt right on the money, and I'm wondering how Ron and Hermione are going to take the news. Please continue, and I look forward to reading more from you.
