You know, I've always hated these types of stories simply because in the books it seems improbable that Lucius would abuse his son. However, I happened to watch The Chamber of Secrets with my daughter last night and today I found this fic. I have to say, I see your point. The subtle things, the expression on Lucius' face during the Qudditch game, the look on Draco's face when Lucius came up behind him in the book store. You story made me feel as if it was CoS being told from Draco's point of view. I would actually consider this movie canon. The pace is nice and it doesn't rely on shock value to keep the reader reading. All of Draco's emotions are very realistic for someone in this situation. The BEST part was, Severus is IC. Do you realize how few authors have acheived this? And yours is particuarily difficult because he is actually caring for someone. However, I could actually see Alan Rickman (as Snape) saying these lines and doing these things. However, you do have some spelling errors so you may want to comb through the story or get a beta reader. I really enjoyed this, have you any idea when we can expect the next chapter?

I've already reviewed this before, but I just ahd to again. It's so powerful it sends chills through me, and I'm not even a Draco fan. I am going wild with anticipation of what kind of reaction Severus will have when he finds Draco near death.

Just out of curiosity, do you think you will eventually work Lucius' being sent to prison into this?

This is on of my very, very, very favorite stories of all time. I've read it several times, and I'm absolutely dying for an update. Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

Oh, wow. I am loving this so much. So, so much. I'm absolutely delighted whenever you update: you give me so much pleasure to read this, you have no idea. For the record, I think you definitely should not have Severus punish him physically, as you suggested once on HP Discipline -he's perfect in his role here. I thought your characterization of Narcissa was very well done, too, in fact she has been well depicted from the start. Draco's emotions were also very well portrayed. The Severus hallucination was a lovely touch. Don't make us wait too long!

I would love to see you continue this story. Please let Lucius get his comeuppance.

I love this story so far and REALLY cant wait for the ending. I mean the ending was good but I need to see my precious Draco happy. ^_^

aww. i was expecting you to change it and have him kill himself. that would show lucius. i don't get how lucius could not realize that he was worse then his own father but i guess its because he's the idiot.
