I love reading your story, it brings back childhood memories in the books you mention
Personal favourite, James and The Giant Peach. First serious look at WW1 was when my
teacher loaned me All quiet on the Western Front, and then I read a book of poems from a Shropshire Lad
about his time in the war. Both brought a lump to my throat. So I adore your story for the memories
you invoke.
Reveiw, I have to be honest you would know you hadn't wrote Sex scenes before, it didn't quite flow. However,
it was a brilliant way of writing it, the Opera, Champs, Carriage Ride, I honestly think they would have gone
the whole way. But perhaps that was wishful thinking.
Still looking forward to more. Keep going with the naughties the more you write the easier it gets.

Just found this and read it in one go. I would have reviewed chapter by chapter but...well, I got caught up in the story (which is a credit to you for just making me want to skip ahead without expressing my thoughts on each part individually).
This story is absolutely wonderful. You've managed to keep them in character (explaining any OOCness by emphasizing that they've both gone through experiences in life that have forced them to grow up) and still realistically portray a budding romantic relationship between them. That alone is truly a feat for this ship.
I also like the reoccuring themes of heartbreak and skittishness in Hermione's character. That she's not willing (or wasn't initially willing anyway) to jump into any kind of relationship with Draco because of what happened with Bill is very fitting. It's common behavior in people who have been hurt so badly not to want to be hurt again and adds another element of realism to the fic that it might not have if you just had her throwing caution to the wind from the get go. That said, I'm also pleased that she's starting to open up a little more in regards to the possibilities with him now. Emotional pain can hurt forever, but she doesn't seem like she'd be one to dwell in it for the rest of her life when other options have presented themselves.
I must say though, you've really made me dislike Bill in this fic, and usually I like him in fanfic form (in the books, he's just a little too cocky and not in a good way). You have me wondering if we'll hear any more details into what happened with the breakup or if you're just going to have Hermione move on and be happy, rubbing his nose in the fact that he could have had her and ended up going for the flashy, superficial trophy wife instead. Or maybe that's just my own sadistic imagination running away with me. Still, it would be entertaining to see Bill's reaction to someone else so openly favoring Hermione.
All of that aside, you did splendidly with the erotic portion in this last chapter. It had just the right amount of build-up leading into it and the lust coming from both sides to make it work. Well done.
By all means, add me to your update list. I'd love to know when new installments arrive. :)

Blixen! Yes! I love finding references to my own nationality in fics! :D
This looks like it will be a wonderful story! It was recced on a Draco/Hermione yahoo group that I'm a member of as equal quality to "Dowry of a single galleon" and "Pansy's Volcano" with the dialogue and build-up of relationship. Naturally with such glowing recommendations it would have been a crime not to have a look at this story too.
I am ever so glad I did. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one!

Excellent! That was definitely not virginal, 12-year old smut. It was so hot and romantic, but that REALLY sexy edge came when you ended with Draco's self-gratification moments after she leaves, whilst in a carriage. Highly erotic stuff, I can't believe it's your first time writing that!
Thanks heaps for the wonderful chapter, and can't wait till you write more!

oh my god.
how could u be a virgin with such a perfect perception of sex? i usually like the stories where hermione and draco are intense and angry and horny as hell, but holy freaking crap this was perfect. especially the poem. ohhhhhh man. the poem was like sex alone. they were so passionate and calm and well versed, just.... wow. you should get an award. i've not only become more drawn to draco and hermione, but to alot of the works of literature that you are quoting.
keep it up~ and update more!

OK well I'm at a loss for words. I LOVED it. How's that for a start? The whole carriage thing was great. And that was a wonderful choice of poetry ( now I have to go look it up).

Absolutely brilliant! This is the best fan fiction story I have read in a long time. I love the back story with Bill breaking Hermione's heart and the dynamics of the Weasley family.
Thank you such a high quality story (with correct spelliing and grammar, as well as a plot) I love the different references to great literature - well done!!!
I am thoroughly enjoying the build up of Draco and Hermione's relationship, please keep up the good work.
