Ch 9 - I'm glad Severus was blunt with her about his reputation - it's something I hope Rowling addresses in her seventh book. Anyone in the role of double-agent would have to be under stress, not fluffy. And for her to know now that the labs mean "hope" to him - well, I think that should give her even more motivation to find the anti-Unforgivable solutions. More, more!! (oops... hopefully, more of S&H and even Raucous and Eli, but not so much Lucius or Draco....)

We interrupt this marvelous moment to bring you some unwanted con/crit. The story, so far, is incredibly knocks-your-socks-off for the time being, but.....
Those house elves.
Yes, I know Snape Manor is huge, and requires a lot in the way of domestic assistance, but 70 FUCKING HOUSE ELVES???!!!!! How is Hermione to get her groove on with Snape, knowing that there are 70 house elves on the premises???
Eli is of course an exception. He might watch their eventual fornication with tears of reverence in his eyes, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 69????!!!!
Maybe house-elves get Sunday afternoons off or something.
