Great story! I love Lily/Severus fics, even if they end up sad. Your's is really great. I like your idea of purgatory as a grey and black neverending nothingness. Keep up the good work!

you have a wonderful fic here - the characterisation is excellent, as are snape's observations of lily etc. you've written his pov of draco really well, highlighting not only the physical and emotional but sort of philosophical aspects. i really liked this passage: "He would learn to hide that admiration and mask it with a sneer, and he would learn to praise a cause that no longer appealed to him. In time he would learn that life was about dishonesty and self-sufficient motivation. He would learn that guilt, anguish, and obligation touched those who once thought themselves invincible." your phrasing is excellent, and you don't lapse into purple prose or hyperbole. yay! thanks.

Gah! It must a very interesting story, indeed! I want to read more!! Please update, this story is fascinating, and your language is gorgeous. Get to it!!
