yay! my first review on AFF! At first I wasn't going to read this because the summary just didn't intest me. Then I read some other cool stories from other writers, and this fic was on nearly EVERY recommended fic list. Needless to say, I was convinced it was "worth my time." Right now I'm on chapter 44, but I wanted to go ahead and review because well, what I've read so far made me really want to, and by the time I finish this story, I will probably have forgotten how I felt at the beginning. This is so well written. That being said, this is the first story that has ever made me feel physically ill. I feel so bad for Harry! This is so not fair! He never has a shot at choosing his own path! And I was seriously wishing that I could transform myself just so I could beat some sense into Lucius and the others! The whole idea involving the kittens really disturbs me. Partially because of how freaky it is to me to read the views the kittens themselves have on their relationships with the older men. Also, I just can't wrap my mind around the fact that these "boys" are really men; I keep picturing a little twelve year old or something. (I really hope there are people out there that get as emotionally involved in these stories as I do... I'm not insane, right?) I don't want what I just said to seem to make you think this is me flaming you or anything. I realize that, like Harry, I mostly feel this way because of how I was raised and how I live my own life. I could never truly understand this whole "pride" thing just as they don't understand why Harry's having the issues he is. Anyways, I just want to thank you for giving me a story that can knot my insides and horrify me even as it makes me pull all-nighters in front of my laptop! I look forward to reading more from you.
