I really liked your first chapter. Not as sure about this one. The essence of magic is \'cookie\'? That\'s sort of silly.
BTW, what kind of font are you using? Your quotes all looked a bit weird in my browser, even after I changed the encoding. You may want to paste your stories into Notepad or Wordpad, then copy them and paste them onto aff.
