I shudder to think of the damage Marcus could do to Hermione if that is what he did to his office.

Just me again! Two points to Severus!! Marcus needs to check out some books on anger management. You know I imagine he would have made a good death eater... if only perhaps not sharing on their philosophy... but it doesn\'t really seem that Marcus is a man for causes or principles... which would have made him dangerous even in Voldemort\'s eyes.

This is so good. Marcus is a real piece of work. I really hope he gets his cummupance. One question thought, in chapter 14 you stated that Severus couldn\'t marry Hermione for reasons he wasn\'t going to reveal to Marcus. What are they? Will we find out eventually? Or is that something that is meant to be open ended? I\'m not expecting an answer to the question itself, because I know that you are most likely setting up another scene somewhere else. But I wanted to make sure that I had not missed it somewhere in the previous chapters or that it will be covered in greater detail in the future.

Actually this would be an opportune time for Severus to show some softness and vulnerability in his lovemaking...Hermione is ready for it.

Ooh, that is an excellent drawing of Marcus! I love this chapter! Poor Severus. He must be feeling really depressed right now.

I think I\'m going to be in the minority here but I have no sympathy for Hermione here. She wants to play while at the same time Severus must kowtow to her and wait for her to decide he\'s what she wants. Meanwhile she gets to go on \"dates\" with Marcus. One doesn\'t go on dates with friends - does she realize that? She gets to see other men and Severus has to sit back and watch. And now getting vindictive - isn\'t she doing exactly what Severus did? She is no better. If she\'s dumb enough to think Marcus just wants to be friends then she deserves to lose Severus. She places all the blame on Severus. Did she ever ask Severus to take her on a date? No. It seems to me he has treated her pretty damn good all these years and this is how she is going to repay him. By playing with another man in front of the man she supposedly loves. Blackmailing him basically. I really don\'t know if I will continue reading this - you have made Hermione into a very shallow woman.

Ch 14 - wow! By the end of the chapter, I was back in Severus\' corner, wanting to push him to go TALK to Hermione. Had to laugh at \"She had been reading a book on making relationships work\" - too bad she hasn\'t gotten to the part about how she can initiate \"talks\" with Severus, instead of waiting for Severus to open up. And I\'m really curious why he hasn\'t married her yet. Other favorite lines from your pen: \"homework nazi,\" \"Why buy the niffler if you can get the gold for free\" (heh!), and \"Deatheater vs. Eradicator. It would be a glorious, if short battle.\" C\'mon, Severus! Take her on a date!!
